Day 1: Arrival at Guwahati – Transfer to Kaziranga

Your exciting journey begins as you arrive at Guwahati, the gateway to Northeast India. Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed and assisted with a comfortable transfer. The day’s first spiritual experience takes place at the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in the country, perched atop Nilachal Hill and offering panoramic views of the city. After the temple visit, you will proceed on a scenic drive to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its population of the Indian one-horned rhinoceros. On reaching Kaziranga, check in to your hotel or resort. If time permits, you may opt for a jungle safari in the park (at your own expense). Enjoy a peaceful evening at leisure and rest for the night at Kaziranga.

Day 2: Kaziranga to Shillong via Umiam Lake

Wake up to the sounds of nature and have an early breakfast. If not done on Day 1, you can go for a morning jungle safari to explore Kaziranga’s rich biodiversity, including elephants, rhinos, swamp deer, and exotic birds. Post safari, check out and start your drive to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. En route, stop at the picturesque Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani. The tranquil blue waters surrounded by pine-clad hills provide the perfect photo opportunity and a refreshing break. On reaching Shillong, visit popular attractions like Lady Hydari Park, known for its manicured lawns and mini zoo, Ward's Lake, and the Cathedral Catholic Church, one of the oldest churches in the region. Check in to your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening in the cool climate of Shillong. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Excursion to Mawlynnong and Dawki

After breakfast, embark on a day-long excursion to Mawlynnong and Dawki, two of Meghalaya’s most enchanting destinations. Begin with Mawlynnong, often called the “Cleanest Village in Asia.” Walk through the flower-lined lanes, see bamboo dustbins at every corner, and admire the villagers' commitment to cleanliness. Visit the Living Root Bridge, a natural wonder formed by interwoven roots of ancient trees. Then continue to Dawki, located on the Indo-Bangladesh border. Enjoy a magical boat ride on the Umngot River, famous for its unbelievably clear water that makes the boat appear to float on air. The surrounding landscape, with its lush hills and rocky cliffs, makes Dawki a postcard-perfect destination. After a fulfilling day, return to Shillong for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Shillong to Cherrapunji – Nature and Adventure

Post breakfast, check out and head towards Cherrapunji (Sohra), one of the wettest places on Earth. The drive itself is scenic with rolling hills and misty valleys. On the way, visit Elephant Falls, a charming three-tiered waterfall surrounded by dense forests. Continue to Cherrapunji and explore attractions like the stunning Seven Sisters Falls, Nohkalikai Falls (India’s tallest plunge waterfall), and Mawsmai Cave, an illuminated limestone cave filled with stalactites and stalagmites. Cherrapunji is also famous for its eco-friendly culture and breathtaking landscapes. After a day of sightseeing, check in at your hotel in Cherrapunji and enjoy a peaceful night amidst the hills.

Day 5: Cherrapunji – Laitlum Canyon – Return to Guwahati

Start your day early with breakfast and proceed towards Laitlum Canyon, one of Meghalaya’s hidden gems. Laitlum, meaning “end of hills,” offers panoramic views of mist-covered valleys and endless green ridges. It’s a photographer’s paradise and a perfect spot to soak in the serenity of Meghalaya. After exploring the canyon, begin your journey back to Guwahati. On arrival, check in at the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. You may explore local markets like Paltan Bazaar for souvenirs or enjoy an optional dinner cruise on the Brahmaputra River (at extra cost). Overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 6: Departure from Guwahati

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and check out from the hotel. Depending on your departure schedule, you may have time to visit local attractions or shop for handicrafts and Assamese tea. Our representative will ensure a timely transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, bringing your wonderful journey through the “Land of Clouds and Waterfalls” to a memorable end.

   The crystal-clear river boating at Dawki is chargeable separately.
